Bogotá DC, March 11, 2015. The Government Accountants of Latin America, the IDB, the WB and the IMF recognized and exalted the management of the National Accounts of the Nation of the Republic of Colombia headed by Dr. Pedro Luis Bohórquez Ramírez and, The interest of this country in building and strengthening capacities in accounting and financial training that contribute to transparency and good governance practices; For that reason they designated him like President of the Network of Government Accountants of Latin America.

FOCAL is a permanent meeting network whose objective is to become a space for analysis, studies, reflection and exchange of experiences, knowledge and good practices, for the development of accounting models of a professional and technical nature. This year in its second version, will be held at the Convention Center of the city of Cartagena de Indias Colombia on July 13, 14 and 15 of this year.

The Forum will be attended by General Accountants and Accounting Directors (where there is no General Accountant) and are members of FOCAL: Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay , Peru, Uruguay and special guest countries such as Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina and Nicaragua.

The Network of Government Accountants of Latin America is an opportunity to convert the accounting developments of each country that to date are taking place within the framework of accounting globalization processes of each member nation, in a positive action where Cooperation, innovation, technology and transformation, are real instruments for vindicating the image of the public service, promoting the common good and accountability.
